Ruggero Deodato () moves to Rome at the age of 14 from Potenza, Basilicata-more precisely he moves to Parioli, an upper-class area of the capital, which will have a crucial influence on his work. He begins his career in film at a very young age, as an actor, usually in small roles or bit parts. “I participated in the early to mid-fifties in a handful of films and I was even called by Federico Fellini to audition for a role-I don’t remember for which one-but in the meantime I had gone through puberty and had lost my boyish charm I wore glasses, had a bad skin, and was discarded immediately. That was my very last attempt at acting, but the experience had fully convinced me that cinema was the way for me. I knew I was going to make films…just that it had to be behind the camera, and not in front of it!”ĭuring his teenage years, his parents will become increasingly close to the Rossellini family and Deodato will build a lasting friendship with Renzo, son of the famous father of neorealism, Roberto, and actress Ingrid Bergman. It is thanks to this fruitful and deep intertwining of families that a still young Deodato has a chance to really start working in cinema. Throughout the sixties, once separated from the Rossellinis, Deodato becomes omnivorous, participating in the most varied projects without any kind of distinction: “I was famished for cinema. Perhaps best to save any more expansive new game design/balancing/progression systems for a Killing Floor 3, if that's in the cards for Tripwire Interactive.I would do anything that gave me the possibility of moving around, being on a set, meeting new people. KF2 is pretty much in 'maintenance mode' now, with facile seasonal updates using community content, bug fixes, and 'official' DLC items to sell for a trickle of game revenue. Who am I kidding: KF2 will not receive another progression path, nor level cap increase (with tweaked post-HoE 'official' new difficulty), nor new modifiers to earn for perk trees, etc. However, you get a 30 XP bonus on your first prestige level and +5 on subsequent prestiges (you can only prestige a. Its cosmetic and grants no gameplay benefits. You need to be Level 25 on a perk in order to prestige said perk. I believe one's game profile/save does track accumulated XP in the background (even if you haven't reset via Prestige), so perhaps a new progress system could use that data as a basis. System that resets your selected perk back to 0 and grants you a Prestige skin and 4 crates worth of Vault Dosh. Its the most balanced perk when it comes to guns, side weapons, and healing. Especially if that path does actually award some minor gameplay advantages.Ī purely cosmetic grind/stepping stone pre-req needed to access a new advancement system that affects gameplay - that would be lame. Field Medic is the best class for any player to use in single-player all day long. I do hope if TWI/Saber ever decide to jury-rig another post-25 grind mechanism into KF2 that they DO NOT use the current Prestige as a pre-requisite for this new grind path. Without that excuse I probably would have continued not to give a damn. Not terribly interested in cosmetics or dressed-up perk icons, and the idea of re-grinding on lower difficulty sounded awfully boring and pointless.Įventually I did max Prestige a couple perks, mainly due to leveling up a friend new to the game. So when Prestige did get inserted in KF2, and with absolutely zero gameplay ramifications to pursue, I really couldn't be bothered. The only other class that can stay in melee for awhile on higher difficulties is survivalist with the hemoclobber equipped and even then they can only dish. No other class can last as long and dish out as much damage in melee when compared to the berserker. These are perks that - without exaggerating - would've likely accumulated enough XP to hit 25 dozens of times before Prestige was even added to the game. The Berserker (zerk) in Killing Floor 2 is the class that specializes in melee combat. I still have a few 25 perks I haven't bothered to Prestige, several years later.
